It’s selection day, and we’re sending our best wishes to all the candidates at the 45th Prix de Lausanne!
This year we’ve sent three of our students from our home here at Houston Ballet: Andrew Vecseri (#409), Caroline Perry (#301), and Nayeli Paez (#309)–who will be representing her home of Mexico.

Along with competing, all the candidates have been involved in week-long ballet and contemporary classes and one-on-one coaching for their variations with some of the best teachers the dance world has to offer.

Our Artistic Director Stanton Welch is also in attendance as a member of the Jury. And of course our former Academy Director, Shelly Power, is the new Artistic Director and Chief Executive Officer for Prix de Lausanne.
